Manufacturing Technology Bridge Program
Started over 15 years ago, Instituto’s Manufacturing Technology Bridge program is one of the first programs of its kind in Chicago to offer an educational bridge connecting low-education adults to high levels of skills training and stable employment. Manufacturing Technology’s curriculum has been adapted regularly based on input from local manufacturers to ensure adult learners remain engaged in the program, as each lesson focuses on skills that are directly applicable to a high-demand jobs, as opposed to generalized concepts.
ManufacturingWorks is a collaborative between Instituto and the City of Chicago’s Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development. ManufacturingWorks is a centralized service center for employers that responds to the growing concern over the insufficient number of skilled workers in the Chicago manufacturing industry.
